Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!
I hope this has been a good day for all of you and that you are enjoying being together with your Valentine or that you are holding the sweet memories of Valentines past in your hearts. Jim and I actually both forgot…… but we made up for it by spending the day together traveling around two really neat towns in Alabama called Albertville and Boaz. He had one inspection to do at the Piggly Wiggly and after he got finished, he came out with 2 chocolate candy bars he had bought from a little girl selling for a fund raiser. We enjoyed our Valentine candy together. It was delicious! But mostly we just enjoyed being together. Caring about each other. Loving one another.
Our scripture for Sunday is Luke 6:17-26. It is called the Sermon on the Plain, and in it Jesus spends the day with us, laying it all out concerning the way he wants us to live and to love. He reminds us of how we are all just doing our best in this old world. Some days are better than others for all of us. But we are to keep on buying each other candy bars. And giving each other hugs. And smiles. We do this so that we all know we are not alone – ever. No matter how unkind or afraid or uncaring we might seem.
The way we do this is to keep on looking past the outside and into the hearts of others. Cause the day may come when we need the same. No, the day WILL come when we need the same……. We will need for others to offer us grace. Jesus tells us how to do this.
I hope you will be there. These days we need one another more than ever, y’all. We need to hold one another in love. We need to sit together with the family. I love you all! See you Sunday!
Pray for me as I pray for you! Love you!
